Digital Footprint

A digital footprint is your information that you or someone else has put on the internet. It also collects data on you without even knowing. Anything you do like making accounts, chatting with people, emailing, searching places on the map, and etc. All of that has some type of information related to you. It’s important to have a good digital footprint because when you apply for a job they will research everything you have done and if you have done something bad then they will not hire you. Also, I believe that a good digital footprints means that people do not know everything about you, even where you live.  Someone that has a perverted mind can find you and that’s why everyone should limit the information posted online. When I researched myself for my digital footprint, I found nothing but I did notice that if anyone knows my email. Then they can find me on Facebook. I have not used that many social media to communicate what I’m doing because it doesn’t interest me. The last time I posted something on Facebook was probably months ago which was about a video related to animals. I no longer post things about myself because I want things to be private.  My setting for all my social media I have is private. Only friends which I mean people that I know can see my profile.
